Kyung-Hee Bae is Director of the Center for Academic and Professional Communication (CAPC) and Senior Lecturer in the Program in Writing and Communication. She has more than 25 years of experience in writing and communication centers, with a particular interest in how communication is learned, taught, and supported across disciplines.

Her work focuses on communication in the disciplines, writing and communication pedagogy, disciplinary genres, rhetorical and audience awareness, multimodal communication, and graduate and professional communication. She is also interested in the role of writing and communication centers in supporting teaching, learning, and faculty development across the university.

Her academic interests include communication in the disciplines, writing and communication pedagogy, writing center studies, multimodal and visual communication, genre and rhetorical analysis, graduate and professional communication, and multilingual writing.
