Kellyn Haywood started working at Rice in February, 2023 as the Department Administrator for Kinesiology. She supports the department chair, assists faculty, and oversees all department processes, including budget, financial, and undergraduate curriculum. Prior to coming to Rice, she worked at Prairie View A&M University.

Originally from Barranquilla, Colombia, Kellyn obtained her bachelor's degree In Physical Culture, Recreation, And Sports and graduated with Honors from the University of the Atlantic in Barranquilla, Colombia. She is Proficient in Spanish.

Outside the hedges of Rice, she is really passionate about history, reading, outdoor activities, and travel, and she loves to dance. Her husband, Ryan, their daughter Kelsey, and dog Buddy make their home in Houston.
