Kelley Vernon

As Curator of Visual Resources, Kelley Vernon leverages over twenty years of visual resources experience to help members of the Rice University community source and manage images for academic and educational use. Kelley is a campus administrator for Rice’s academic holdings within its ArtStor and Shared Shelf collections, databases which host over a million architecture, art, humanities, and didactic images for use within the academic setting. As a member of Fondren Library’s Digital Scholarship Services department, she also helps promote digital resources hosted by the library to the wider Rice community.

Kelley holds a B.A. in Art History from Smith College and M.A. in Art History from Rice. She joined the Department of Art History in 1999 as Assistant Curator of Visual Resources. Kelley became an Associate Curator of Visual Resources in 2001 and Curator in 2012. Her current position is a shared appointment with Fondren Library.
