Katie is an alumna of Rice University, where she earned her B.A. with a double major in Religion and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and a minor in Jewish Studies. She earned an MS in Library and Information Science with a concentration in Archives and Records Management from Simmons University. Katie returned to Rice in 2026 and is now the Katz Family Archivist for the Joan and Stanford Alexander South Texas Jewish Archives at the Woodson Research Center.
