As Student Administrator for the Department of Computer Science, Karina handles student payroll, fellowships and other student related duties. Karina tracks graduate students in the department from their start date until graduation. Additional duties include certifying students are paid correctly by reviewing grand funding to ensure there is sufficient funding for the students, as well as working with faculty members on student allocations. The position keeps track of the funding source of the student payments, and submits labor distributions when corrections are needed. She also processes graduate fellowship costing sheets for first year students, as well as process corrections for teaching assistants to ensure they receive appropriate funding.
