Justin Schilke is the University Registrar at Rice University, bringing over 15 years of progressive experience in higher education administration to the role. He oversees the strategic and daily operations of the Office of the Registrar, guiding critical functions such as academic policy, curriculum management, and degree progress. A trusted advisor to academic leadership, Justin is dedicated to bridging the gap between traditional record-keeping and the evolving needs of the campus community by leveraging emerging technologies and data-driven solutions. He also serves as the university's primary resource and trainer for the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

He is deeply engaged in the higher education record-keeping profession at the national, regional, and state levels, and he regularly presents at professional conferences, sharing best practices on topics ranging from data privacy and technology implementations to project management and leadership. Justin has served in executive leadership roles as a vice president for both the Southern Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (SACRAO) and the Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (TACRAO), and he is an active member within the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO).

Prior to joining Rice in 2014, Justin held student records administration roles at Texas A&M University and Western Kentucky University.
