Justin Schilke wearing blue suit

Justin Schilke is the Deputy Registrar in the Office of the Registrar. In his role, he oversees daily OTR operations, as well as data stewardship and access, data warehousing, and special projects. He also provides guidance to the Rice community on the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

In addition to his role at Rice, Justin is heavily involved in the higher education record-keeping profession and has served on executive leadership as a vice president in the Southern Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (SACRAO) and in the Texas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (TACRAO). He is currently the Vice President for Records and Academic Services for SACRAO, and recently participated on the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) Mentoring Work Group. He also regularly presents on various topics in higher education at the annual conferences for these professional organizations.

Prior to joining Rice, Justin served in student record administration roles at Texas A&M University and Western Kentucky University.
