Joyce Brown is a native Houstonian and she received a bachelors in Business Administration from LeTourneau University, Houston, Texas.

Before joining Rice, Joyce had a long tenure at MD Anderson Cancer Center where she received extensive administrative skills.

She joined Rice in 2023 and recently became the Program Administrator for Jewish Studies.  In this role, she supports faculty, students, coordinates administrative functions and serves as the point of contact for the program. Joyce enjoys being a part of the program because she feels Jewish Studies represents resilience and it is an interdisciplinary program.

During her spare time, Joyce does outreach to local women shelters and facilities. She finds both working at Rice and volunteering her time very rewarding.
