Jon Wyand has over 20 years of top-tier, strategic supply chain experience, primarily within the energy industry. Jon has led high-performing teams responsible for strategic sourcing, procurement plan execution, supplier management, risk mitigation, supplier diversity, ESG, transactional excellence, and materials management.

Prior to joining Rice University, Jon served as the Head of Procurement at ONEOK and Tallgrass Energy. Jon spent over a decade with ConocoPhillips, which included senior procurement leadership roles as the Head of Procurement for the Gulf Coast and San Juan Business Units, as well as the Project Procurement Manager for the CD5 Project, which was the gateway project into the NPR-A.

Jon has a proven track record for modernizing procurement teams, processes, and tools. He is known for implementing transformative solutions that deliver significant value, streamline execution, and create a simpler, more intuitive user experience. Jon combines technology with analytics, engagement, and strategic solutions to elevate procurement performance.

Jon holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Supply Chain Management, as well as a Master of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting, all from the University of Oklahoma.
