Jing Jin joined Rice University as Assistant General Counsel in 2025. Previously, she practiced litigation, conducted investigations, and advised clients on regulatory matters at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP in San Francisco. Following law school, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable Cheryl Ann Krause on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit in Philadelphia. Jing received her J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School, with honors, and her B.A. in Environmental Humanities (College Scholar Program), English, and Asian Studies from Cornell University, summa cum laude. She also earned a M.Phil from University of Cambridge, Clare College, in Polar Studies, with distinction. She is a member of the State Bar of California and the National Association of College and University Attorneys. Jing grew up in southwest Houston and lives there today with her family.
