Jerusha has worked as a professional, IAEM credentialed certified emergency manager for nearly 15 years, however, she pulls strongly on her other response backgrounds to support her emergency management role. Prior to her work in emergency management, she devoted 17 years to multiple response systems including, EMS, Law Enforcement, Hospital, and clinical care.
As a certified FEMA NIMS instructor and Incident Management Team member, she has filled nearly all ICS command and general staff roles in incident response. She has been extremely blessed over the years to consistently be in the right place at the right time and to be trained by highly-skilled individuals. While Jerusha has attended several colleges and universities, she finished her undergraduate and graduate studies at Portland State University, in Portland, Oregon. Two of the universities which she attended had school mottos that were service-based; “Enter to learn, go forth to serve” and “Let knowledge serve the city.” These are key phrases that she has adopted in her life as a public servant.
