Dr. Wilson became the Director of the Program in Writing and Communication (PWC) in 2018. She oversees all programs associated with the PWC: the First-year Writing-Intensive Seminar Program, the Center for Academic and Professional Communication, communication resources for non-native speakers of English, and Communication in the Disciplines efforts.

Jennifer has published multiple book chapters on various aspects of ESL composition, second language acquisition, socio-literate support, and adolescent literacy, as well as articles in Composition Forum and Language Teaching. Currently, she is working on articles on the influence of social networks on the literacy development of immigrant adolescents and third space as a theoretical construct in sociocultural theory.
