Isaiah C. Johnson is a Postdoctoral Associate at Rice University. His research studies American politics, focusing on leadership, race and ethnic politics, and political decision-making.
As a member of the Executive Policy Research Group, his primary research agenda examines the effects of unilateral policymaking, providing expertise on the interplay between executive actions and identity politics. Other areas of research include analyzing how the racial identity of leadership shapes behavior, with a focus on Multiracial elites. His work has appeared in Presidential Studies Quarterly, with additional research under review at the Journal of Politics and Political Behavior.
