In the Program Administrator's role, Indre Rapalaviciute supports the Houston Asian American Archive at the Chao Center for Asian Studies and maintains the quality of the archival workflow for the Oral History project.
Indre received a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2018 from Siauliai University and a Master of Arts in History in 2021 from Vilnius University, Lithuania. Her academic interest lies in the field of Memory Culture, she examines the various systems through which meanings are constructed and explores how these constructed meanings align with the narratives obtained from Oral History respondents. Rooted in the belief that memory and truth are imperative to justly document underrepresented communities’ testimonies for an inclusive future, Indre is interested in Oral History as an agent for diversifying institutionalized sites of remembrance.
