Hien Le is the director of data operations for the Kinder Institute for Urban Research. He performs a variety of administrative, technical and customer service functions involved in the acquisition, cataloguing and metadata development for data sets to be used in academic and community-based research projects. He also designs and develops information management systems for the Urban Data Platform, performs QA/QC on code and data and liaises with Rice's Office of Information Technology. Before joining the Kinder team, Hien was a business systems analyst for Rice's Children’s Environmental Health Initiative. Hien received a Bachelor of Engineering degree in electrical engineering from McGill University.
