Oversees alumni relations for the Department of Computer Science as well as communications and marketing. Responsible for digital and print communications including writing, websites, social media, design and more. 
 

BIOGRAPHY:

Over the course of her career, Heather Ferreyra has worked on marketing and writing for the Film Society of Lincoln Center, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Sotheby's Magazine. 
 
After completing her master's degree in writing at Emerson College, she taught English in Turkey and worked in publishing in New York City. She's lived in Boston, Istanbul, Los Angeles, New York and Austin, but she grew up in Houston and considers it home. 
 
Prior to coming to Rice, she oversaw communications for the IT Department at California State University, Northridge (CSUN). She's also worked in marketing communications at Loyola Marymount University, Cambridge University Press and Houghton Mifflin's College Division.
