Greg Marshall is a Rice graduate who returned to his alma mater in 1992 as Director of University Relations, with responsibility for community relations, local government relations (City of Houston and Harris County), protocol, and oversight of the Rice University Welcome Center. He represents Rice on the boards of the Rice Village Alliance, South Main Alliance and University Place Super Neighborhood, serves on the command staff of the Rice Incident Management Team, leads the university’s annual United Way Campaign, was a founder of the Rice Historical Society and Rice Vote Coalition, served on the organizing committees for Rice’s 2012 centennial and its last three presidential inaugurations, and since 1992 has been a university associate of Rice’s first residential college, Baker College, where he also served for eight years as a resident associate.
