As Administrative Director for Rice Global Paris (RGP) Garry oversees general administration of RGP programs, including day-to-day operations, facility management and event planning. He works closely with local partners to support the University’s mission to create opportunities for its students and faculty in Paris, France and Europe through customized courses and research events. Before stepping into this role, Garry was resident director of the Rice School of Architecture Paris program in Paris and built up extensive experience as a translator, language teacher and guide. Garry served on the board of the Association of American University Programs in France (APUAF) from 2019 to 2022 and is currently a member of the APAUF sustainable development committee.

Garry holds a BA in French and German from Ollscoil na Gaillimhe (University of Galway), an MA in French from University College Dublin and a PhD in French literature from the Sorbonne.
