Elaine Palinkas Sanches is the events and office manager for the School of Humanities.  Before joining the dean's office team, she served as administrator for the departments of Philosophy and Religion. Elaine also worked as a program administrator at the Humanities Research Center (HRC) and at the Department of Modern and Classical Literatures and Cultures. Prior to joining Rice, she worked at the Consulate General of Brazil in Houston as an administrative staff member and as the personal assistant to the Brazilian Ambassador. Elaine is fluent in English and Portuguese, and brings extensive administrative and organizational skills to our departments.
