Diego Lopez joined the Rice Office of STEM Engagement in October 2024, bringing experience and data analysis, research methodologies, and program evaluation. He's passionate about using data-driven insights to support organizational goals. As a Research and Evaluation Specialist, Diego assists in designing, planning, and implementing various reports and research projects related to R-STEM's professional development and student programs.
Before joining R-STEM, Diego worked in the Office of Instructional Materials Implementation at the Texas Education Agency, and he served as an English instructor in the Texas Success Initiative program at Texas A&M. Diego holds a Master's in Public Administration with a concentration in Public Policy Analysis from Texas A&M. He also graduated with a B.A. in Political Science from the Honors College at the University of Houston.
