Diana Ebanks is the Senior Director, Growth Marketing, Communications & Analytics for Rice Online, the digital learning division of Rice University.

Diana oversees a team of in-house and external agency experts who manage brand/program awareness, digital marketing, and lead generation for the majority of Rice’s online master’s degrees, online graduate certificates, and online courses, both for-credit and non-credit. She also leads a new digital learning communications program to build internal and external awareness for Rice University’s growing portfolio of online and hybrid programs.

Drawing from nearly 20 years at Fortune 500 companies and publishers, she is a digital brand strategist with significant experience overseeing integrated marketing efforts, content creation, and intuitive experience design that increase awareness, relevance and desired outcomes.

Prior to joining Rice University, Diana served as the Global Director, Brand & Creative at AIG (American International Group, Inc.), an insurance and financial services industry leader operating in over 80 countries. Recognized by colleagues as an AIG Influencer, she partnered with stakeholders across multiple business units and functions to develop and launch largescale brand transformation and customer experience initiatives. These included a global repositioning and identity refresh, brand transitions for multiple acquired companies, and a restructuring and modernization of the in-house Creative Services team into a best-in-class Brand Studio.

Diana has also held digital marketing leadership positions at Scholastic and American Express. At AmEx, she was part of the team who conceptualized, designed, and launched the first Centurion Lounges.

A Houston native and graduate of Vanderbilt University, Diana returned home to Houston from New York City in 2020. She believes in the importance student-centricity, empathy, constant learning, and great coffee.
