After completing her graduate program, Destiny began her career in educational strategic initiatives and programming for first-generation college students. Her work experiences have given her unique engagements with college students at the collegiate level and within the industry. Destiny is excited to continue advocating for student success with the RESP program and the greater SSI team. In her spare time, Destiny enjoys going to concerts, practicing crochet, and spending time with her family.
Advising Philosophy:
Destiny’s advising approach is greatly influenced by Culturally Relevant Leadership Learning (CRLL), a leadership framework developed by her graduate faculty at FSU. CRLL emphasizes the value of integrating lived experiences into leadership practice. This form of thought mainly influences Destiny’s focus on creating spaces that allow all students to thrive.
