Danielle brings a dynamic background in education, nonprofit leadership, and entrepreneurial success to the Doerr Institute for New Leaders. Originally from Miami, Florida, she earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Florida before beginning a career focused on supporting students and emerging leaders.
Danielle has served in mission-driven organizations across Chicago, including City Year, The Posse Foundation, Future Founders, Big Shoulders Fund, and the University of Illinois at Chicago. Throughout her work, she has championed access, mentorship, and leadership development for young people from diverse backgrounds.
In addition to her professional experience, Danielle spent a decade building her own baking business, Tubby’s Taste, blending creativity, resilience, and entrepreneurial vision. After relocating to Houston, she is excited to bring her energy, experience, and passion to the Doerr Institute, supporting our mission to elevate leader development for every Rice student.
