Ms. Medina received her Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the College of William and Mary. She began her career at Rice in the Dean of Humanities office in 2005. Prior to returning to this office in 2021, she worked for the Program in Poverty, Justice, and Human Capabilities, Rice University Art Gallery and most recently, at the Center for Languages and Intercultural Communication.
Ms. Medina is a rudimentary polyglot having studied Portuguese and Russian at Rice, to add to her basic language skills in Spanish, French, and German. In her spare time, she enjoys home do-it-yourself projects, baking, and spending time with her husband and their three dogs.
