As the Digital Communications and Marketing Lead for Rice University's online and digital learning department, Cassie leverages her expertise to build awareness and demand for the university's growing array of online degrees, microcredentials, short courses, and employer programs.

Cassie was most recently the digital marketing manager at the University Co-Op in Austin, where she significantly increased social media engagement and led successful fundraising campaigns. She has also held roles at edX/2U as a Digital Marketing Teaching Assistant, supporting students through comprehensive digital marketing boot camps. Earlier this year, Cassie participated in a fundraising event as part of the host committee for the 2024 NCCN Foundation Lotus Luncheon, where she contributed her marketing skills and passion for storytelling to the event's success. 

Prior to joining the University Co-op in 2022, Cassie held a number of diverse positions in organizations like The Alexander Group, Dell Children's Medical Center, Textile Exchange, and Barnes & Noble, where she honed her skills in digital marketing, content creation, event coordination, and administrative support. A Houston native, Cassie earned her Bachelor of Science in Anthropology from the University of Houston and a Digital Marketing Certification from the University of Texas at Austin.
