Carrie Hodgeson has been at Rice University since January 2017. She has worked in higher education for 15 years, beginning as an undergraduate academic advisor in the Psychology Department at the University of Houston - Main Campus. She received her B.A. in history and film studies at the University of Houston - Clear Lake in 2008. Since 2024, she has served as Department Administrator for the Sociology Department, after serving as the Graduate Program Administrator for Psychological Sciences and the Program Administrator for Cognitive Sciences. In her free time, Carrie enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, films, and all things pop culture.
