Agustina Fernandez-Moya is highly regarded for promoting collaboration, education
advancement, and meaningful partnerships. She is the Director of Employer
Engagement and Experiential Learning at Rice University, where she focuses on
creating and strengthening partnerships that support valuable experiential learning
opportunities for students. With over 20 years of professional experience, she brings
expertise in communications, strategy, and relationship management, particularly in
higher education and international relations.
Most recently, Agustina was instrumental in the growth of the Engineering Professional
Master’s Programs at Rice University, increasing enrollment and international diversity
through strategic program development and targeted marketing efforts in the US and
abroad. Her leadership helped shape new programs to address industry needs and
expanded the university's brand awareness at local, national, and international levels.
Agustina also has a solid background in financial services, acquired during her tenure at
Citibank Argentina.
Beyond academia, Agustina serves as an honorary representative of the City of Buenos
Aires in Houston, promoting cultural, economic, and educational ties between Argentina
and the United States. Her work in this role and prior experience as a Cultural Attaché
at the Argentine Consulate in Houston have strengthened cross-cultural connections
and facilitated business collaborations and student exchange programs.
Agustina has a master’s degree in communication from the University of Houston, a
post-graduate degree in Marketing from the University of Chicago and Universidad de
San Andres, and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Universidad de Buenos Aires.
She is fluent in English and Spanish.
