Sheena Wilson serves as Manager of the African American History Research Center, where she leads the strategic stewardship, preservation of archival collections. An ACA-certified archivist with over thirteen years of experience, she advances access to history through community-centered archival practice, cultivating partnerships and donor relationships that support the preservation and visibility of Black history.
Since joining the Center in 2017, Sheena has managed more than $250,000 in grant funded projects supporting initiatives that expand digital access, strengthen collection preservation, and increasecommunity engagement with archival materials. Her work reflects a sustained commitment to accessibility, institutional growth, and community impact.
Sheena is a two-time HBCU alumna and holds degrees from Grambling State University, Texas Southern University, and the University of North Texas.
