Yuke Wang is the incoming Assistant Professor (Fall 2025) at the Department of Computer Science at Rice University. Yuke received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara (2024) under the supervision of Prof. Yufei Ding (now at UCSD). He earned his B.E. in Software Engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (2018).

Yuke's research aims to match the increasingly diverse and complicated deep learning models/applications with the ever-advancing hardware to maximize their performance gains. Yuke is broadly interested in building intelligent and efficient systems and compilers for diverse deep learning applications, including Deep Neural Networks (DNNs), Graph Neural Networks (GNNs), Deep Learning Recommendation Models (DLRMs), and Large Language Models (LLMs). In the long run, Yuke’s research facilitates more efficient, scalable, and secure deep learning computation on modern computing platforms. Yuke was also recognized by the NVIDIA Graduate Fellowship 2022 (10 recipients worldwide).
