Xuedan Ma
Associate Professor, Materials Science and NanoEngineering
Dr. Ma is an Associate Professor of Materials Science and NanoEngineering. She is also a Visiting Scholar at the Nanoscience and Technology Division in Argonne National Laboratory. She joined Rice University in July 2024.
Dr. Ma received her Ph.D. from the University of Hamburg in Germany. After serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies at Los Alamos/Sandia National Laboratories, she joined the Center for Nanoscale Materials at Argonne National Laboratory as a RD2 Scientist in 2016, and was promoted to a RD3 Scientist in 2021. Between 2017 and 2024, she was also a CASE Fellow at the University of Chicago and NAISE Fellow at Northwestern University.
