Professor Emeritus Morris is the author of Toward a New Historicism and Friday’s Footprint: Structuralism and the Articulated Text and co-author of Reading Faulkner. He has published articles on Jacques Lacan, Murray Krieger, Jacques Derrida, and contemporary literary theory. During his time at Rice, he taught courses in modern literature, modernism and postmodernism, Faulkner, the politics of literary theory, and literature and performance theory.
