Wendy Schell, PT, DPT, MS, CSRS received her Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and Psychology from Auburn University in 1994. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from Georgia State University in 1996, an advanced Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in 2007, and a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2017 from the University of Texas Medical Branch. She is currently a licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Texas.

With over 22 years of clinical practice, Dr. Schell has worked in a variety of medical settings including ICU, acute care, wound care, trauma services, in-patient adult rehab, burn care, post-operative orthopedics, post-op cardiopulmonary, and neurology/neurosurgery. Over the past 15 years, she has honed her patient care knowledge and skills while working with individuals with spasticity management needs, as well as, those diagnosed with neuromuscular disorders.

Dr. Schell joined the faculty of Rice University in 2008 as a lecturer in the Kinesiology Department. She is responsible for teaching the undergraduate courses: Human Anatomy and Human Anatomy Lab. While at Rice, she has been recognized twice by scholar athletes for excellence in teaching. Dr. Schell has also provided numerous hours of guidance counseling to Rice students interested in pursuing graduate education and careers in the medical field and allied health professions.
