Su Chen

Su Chen joined the D2K Lab on July 1, 2020 as an Assistant Teaching Professor. She received her Ph.D in the department of Statistics and Data Science at the University of Texas at Austin. She earned her B.S. in Mathematics and her M.S in Mathematics with a focus in Actuarial Science. She is an Associate of Society of Actuaries (ASA) and has experience working in an actuarial consulting firm. She has experience developing and teaching both lower and upper division undergraduate courses in math, statistics and data science at UT-Austin and Texas A&M University.

Research Areas

Her doctoral research lies in the interaction of methodology, theory and computation of Bayesian statistics and their applications to high dimensional data analysis.
