Shannon LaBove has coached students to collegiate outrounds at the American Forensics Association (AFA) National Tournament, The National Forensics Association National Tournament (NFA), the Pi Kappa Delta National Tournament, The National Parliamentary Debate Association National Tournament and the Phi Rho PI National Tournament. As a fifteen year collegiate competitive forensics coach (Speech & Debate) she jokes that she loves coaching the “student” and not just the events.

As a former competitor in Parliamentary Debate and Individual Events, this nationally ranked speaker graduated with a B.S. in Political Science from the University of Houston; M.A. in Communication from West Texas A&M University; and J.D. from Georgia State University, College of Law. She is currently the assistant director of Forensics and a lecturer at Rice University. She previously served as the director of Forensics at Lonestar College-Kingwood, Wiley College, and Central Texas College and assisted in coaching at Morehouse College and the University of Houston. Shannon is a member of the HUDL Parent and Community Council and loves teaching young debaters.
