Richard earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Rice University and his Masters in Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia. He joined Rice in 2004 as a Campus Sustainability Planner. Today, Richard is the Executive Director of the Administrative Center for Sustainability and Energy Management where he focuses on on-campus sustainability initiatives such as "green" building and energy conservation.
