Dr. Lucas G. Camargo earned his B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Campinas, Brazil, in 2015 and 2017, respectively. During his undergraduate career, he studied abroad at Rice University, and lived at McMurtry College. Dr. Camargo served as a lecturer for two years before coming back to Rice to pursue his Ph.D. in Bioengineering in 2019, where his thesis under Dr. Robert Raphael focused on computational insights into endolymphatic hydrops, particularly ion transport and fluid homeostasis in the inner ear. During his graduate career at Rice he has served as the instructor of record for four courses, where he received a certificate in teaching excellence and discovered his passion for scholarship of teaching and learning.
