Jon Lohse

Jon Lohse is a Senior Associate with Terracon Consultants, Inc. A native Houstonian, he completed his graduate degrees from The University of Texas and is on the Board of Directors of the Gault School for Archaeological Research. He has conducted multidisciplinary research in Texas and Central America, where he has developed interests in early (Archaic and Paleoindian) time periods. He has published on preceramic work in Belize, Guatemala, and Oaxaca; Mesoamerican (Maya) settlement and household archaeology and commoner studies; paleoecological reconstructions using environmental proxies; high-precision radiocarbon based chronologies; and lithic technologies, especially early (Clovis) strategies for stone tool making and learning.
