John W. Barry is an assistant professor of finance at the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University. His current research examines topics in corporate governance and corporate finance. Prior to joining the faculty at Rice, John earned a Ph.D. in finance from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. Before starting his doctoral studies, John was a research assistant at Princeton University and Harvard Business School. He also spent some time teaching English in Spain.
