Jiarong Xing

Jiarong Xing is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Rice University. Prior to joining Rice, he was a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Sky Computing Lab at UC Berkeley, hosted by Prof. Ion Stoica. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in the Department of Computer Science in August 2024 at Rice University.
Jiarong is broadly interested in computer systems, ML systems, and networking. His current research focuses on building efficient, scalable, and secure cloud data centers and large-scale AI infrastructures.
