I am a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Statistic at Rice University. Previously, I was a William H. Kruskal Instructor in Statistics at the University of Chicago. I obtained my Ph.D. in Statistics at Washington University in St. Louis in 2024 and spent 2022-2024 as a visiting student at the University of Chicago. I am fortunate to have my research supported by the National Science Foundation. 

My research interests include machine learning theory, time series, high-dimensional data, change points, and their applications in neuroimaging and brain dynamics. In particular, I develop mathematical foundations and uncertainty quantification methods for iterative learning algorithms, with the goal of making modern AI systems more reliable and trustworthy. I also study machine learning through a time-series perspective and derive interpretable theoretical insights for AI methods applied to complex real-world data.
