Research Areas
Professor George’s research focuses on developing dual theoretical and data-driven mathematical models to describe decision-making in complex biological systems. His group is particularly interested in developing and applying probabilistic and stochastic models to characterize optimal decisions for systems navigating uncertain environmental landscapes. He has developed this conceptual framework to better understand the cancer-immune interaction with the long-term goal of optimizing T cell immunotherapy. Data-driven efforts have also been applied in collaboration with experimentalists and clinicians to study the epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition in cancer and developmental biology.
