Jamile Forcelini received her Ph.D. in Hispanic Linguistics from Florida State University in 2020. Her dissertation research focused on the processing and acquisition of cognates in second language (Spanish) learning. Her work also explores the bilingual and trilingual lexicon processes and development. Jamile also earned a TESOL certificate from Florida State University. Jamile has taught languages (ESL, Spanish, and Portuguese) and linguistics for the past eighteen years in different educational institutions at distinct proficiency levels. Jamile is passionate about seeing language learners communicate in another language and enrich their linguistic repertoire with meaningful experiences.
