Jaesu Choi, a Ph.D. candidate in Second Language Studies at Indiana University, Bloomington, earned his M.A. and B.A. in Korean Linguistics from Kyung Hee University, Seoul. His diverse research interests span psycholinguistic analysis of the Sino-Korean lexicon, psychometric-based test validation, corrective feedback techniques, and peer interaction in remote learning. Leveraging his extensive academic background and passion, Choi persistently strives for innovative contributions to language teaching.
As a certified Korean Language Teacher, Choi brings a decade of experience in Korean instruction and teacher training across all levels of higher education in both Korea and the U.S. Choi staunchly believes in the learner's mechanism of language acquisition and promotes self-directed language learning using authentic language materials and communicative tasks. Recently, he has shifted his focus towards developing specialized Korean language curricula for advanced learners in academic and business contexts.
