BIOGRAPHY

Hojung Lee is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Sociology at Rice University. She received her Ph.D. in Education and Social Policy from the University of Delaware in 2025.

Her research examines how resource allocation policies and institutional structures shape educational inequality across K-12 and higher education contexts. Using quasi-experimental methods and large-scale administrative data, her work investigates the mechanisms through which policies intended to promote equity operate in practice. At Rice, she works with Drs. Anna Rhodes and Jeremy Fiel on research examining how housing choice vouchers affect students' educational outcomes.
