Christian Schreib serves as an Assistant Research Professor in the Bioengineering Department at Rice University and a Project Manager at the Rice Biotech Launchpad. He completed his doctoral studies at Rice University, where his work centered on understanding the role of lipids in the immune response to implanted materials and the development of a cell-based therapy for accelerating wound healing.
As a faculty member, in addition to continued research on lipids and wound healing, he is developing new computation tools/methodologies to address bioengineering problems. As part of the Rice Biotech Launchpad, he is the manager of multiple multi-institute ARPA-H funded projects related to lymphedema and cancer. Christian Schreib is committed to addressing unmet medical needs through his work and has a genuine desire to change the world for the better.
