Brenna Armstrong is a Visiting Assistant Professor at Rice University who specializes in comparative politics. Her research focuses on cabinet ministers, oversight, legislative behavior, representation, and women and politics. Her regional area of expertise is Latin America. Her current research focuses on how the personal characteristics of politicians shape the strategies they adopt in office, and how institutional change may alter the strategies available.
