Ben Lansford

Benjamin Lansford is Professor of the Practice in Accounting and Director of the Master of Accounting (MAcc) program. He joined the Rice faculty in 2014 and teaches financial accounting, managerial accounting, and financial statement analysis in the MBA, MAcc and undergraduate programs. He has also taught auditing.

Ben previously served on the faculty of The Pennsylvania State University’s Smeal College of Business and Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. 

Ben earned his Ph.D. in Business Administration from Penn State, an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of South Carolina. Before earning his doctorate, he worked in financial accounting for a subsidiary of Fluor Corporation, a multinational engineering and construction company. Ben is a Certified Public Accountant (Georgia).
