Angela Chen is a Taiwanese-American artist, writer, and educator whose work explores the immigrant experience, the process of assimilation, intergenerational trauma, and cultural memory as it manifests in immigrant materialities. Her work often combines autobiographical text with lens-based media to generate friction between what is seen and what is described. Angela is a graduate of the Yale School of Art, where she was an Alice Kimball Traveling Fellow and an Art and Social Justice Grantee.
