Joon Pyung Seo is a doctoral candidate in Applied Physics at Rice University where he works on noninvasive neuroengineering using ultrasound. Joon Pyung works with Dr. Szablowski, studying marker protein recovery and gene expression analysis from deep brain tissue using Focused Ultrasound mediated Blood Brain Barrier opening. Joon Pyung graduated from Seoul National University with Bachelor of Science degrees in Physics and Biological Sciences where he worked on analyzing inhibitors of hepatitis B virus capsid assembly.
