I use Synthetic Biology to detect and respond to RNA signatures in cells. My training started in the metabolic engineering space, where I engineered yeast systems to improve xylose consumption. I have since moved to bacterial synthetic biology, working on projects in discovery of novel two-components systems and I am currently developing a versatile and programmableRNA detection platform using a split-ribozyme.
