Xiaojing is broadly interested in the history of Earth’s climate, particularly the hydroclimate variability on interannual to orbital time scales. Her work includes integrating proxy measurements, modeling approaches and instrumental observations to understand the causes of climate variability in the western tropical Pacific and southwestern US. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.
